Michael Jordan (1986 – Score #8 of 10)

Michael Jeffrey (Air) Jordan (MJ) played Shooting Guard for the Chicago Bulls (1984 – ’93 and 1995 – ’98), and Washington Wizards (2001 – ’03), with a couple of years playing outfield for the Chicago White Sox organization thrown in. He is considered by most (and me) to be the greatest basketball player of ALL TIME. Before coming to the Bulls as the 3rd pick in the 1984 draft, he was an All-American at North Carolina U. where he was a member of a National Championship Team in 1982. With the Bulls, he won 6 NBA Championships in 1991, ’92, ’93 and again in 1996, ’97, ’98, giving rise to the phrase “Three Peat,” with Michael winning MVP honors in all 6 series. Jordan won more accolades than space permits, including the 10 times he led the NBA in scoring and the 14 times he was voted to the East All-Star Team. Michael Jordan was a Gold Medal winner at the Olympics in both Los Angeles (1984) and Barcelona, Spain (1992) and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009 . He is currently involved in basketball as the principal owner and chairman of the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA. His uniform number (#23) has been retired by the Chicago Bulls, the University of North Carolina, and the Miami Heat (where he never played).

  1. Did this already and now it popped back up again. I said this is not a fair question to compare MJ to anyone else! Jordan is King! Not to be topped. But LeBron might ome out better than MJ 25 years down the road because the MJ followers will be senile and ya justcannot compare these 2 as the generation gap is too big! Cannot compare Unitas to Montana, or Ruth to Joe DiMaggio as the generation gap destroys it all. Now, I must say MJ but in my next life I may say LJ! PG 2/17/15
